USES

You are probably aware that castor oil is regarded by some as a remedy for constipation remedy. But you may not be aware of its reported use as an antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal, or that it has been used topically to treat a variety of skin conditions, reduce pain, and stimulate your immune system.

CULTIVATION

Castor crop can be grown from sea level to altitude of about 100 meter (m .s. l.) castor crop requires a hot, dry climate with annual rainfall of 500-800mm of which 500-600mm needed during the first 3 months of crop growth.

SPECIES

The seed rate used for sowing behind the plough is 12 kg/ha. For hand dibbling, 8-10 kg/ha of seed will be sufficient. For intercropping, seed rate depends on sowing proportion of component crops. The spacing varies with growth habit, duration of variety and time of sowing. Under rainfed conditions, early and medium duration cultivars are sown at a closer spacing.

India, being the single largest producer of castor seed in the world. Our company also provides the facility of Buy Back agreement.

HARVESTING

It takes about 145-280 days to mature. Harvesting is done when capsules turn yellowish. However, all the spikes do not mature at the same time. The central spike on the main rachies matures first, and thereafter the spikes on the side branches start maturing. Therefore, 2-3 pickings may be needed for harvesting the crop. The spikes should be dried in the sun for 4-5 days and then threshed.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF COMPANY

For 1 Acre plantation cost of plant (cutting) is Rs. 33,000/-, out of which 50% i.e. Rs. 16,500/- has to be paid before the cultivation and the remaining half after the Planting is done.
The Buy Back Agreement Stamp paper of Rs.100/- has to be stamped by District Court of your area.
For 10 Acre or more yield the buy Back Agreement Stamp Paper will be of Rs.500/-.
