PUDINA

PUDINA CULTIVATION

Pudina also known as menthe is an energizing herb. Mint is used as mint oil, tooth pastes, mouth washes and flavoring agents in many dishes. Its leaves are used for preparing various drugs. Drugs prepared from mint are used in treatment of nasal, rheumatism, neuralgia, carminative and bronchial treatment. It is used in wide range of pharmaceutical. It is a small herb with average height of 1-2 feet with spreading root stocks.

USES

  • Pudina is loaded with antioxidants and phytonutrients and hence helps keep stomach cramps and acidity at bay.
  • Mint leaves have anti-inflammatory properties. It helps soothe skin infections. Mint juice acts as an excellent skin cleanser.
  • Since Pudina has a very strong aroma, it gets to stimulate your brain functioning and helps cure nausea. Further, applying fresh mint leaves on the forehead relieves headache.
  • Mint leaves are a great remedy to relieve the pain caused during menstrual cramps.
  • Mint leaves have anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and so it fights against tooth decay and bad breath and is widely used in mouth fresheners.

CULTIVATION

Deep soils, loam to sandy loam well drained, well aerated and loose textured soil. Clay soils are not suitable. Temperate climatic condition, Tropical climate is not suitable, plentiful rainfall during growth and good sunshine during harvest is best suitable during crop growth.

SPECIES

Mentha (also known as mint, from Greek míntha, Linear B mi-ta) is a genus of plants in the family Lamiaceae (mint family). It is estimated that 13 to 18 species exist, and the exact distinction between species is still unclear.

MARKETING

India's mint products exports are expected to rise more than six times this year on higher overseas demand. Our company also provides the facility of Buy Back agreement.

HARVESTING

Plants are ready for harvesting after 100-120 days. Harvesting is done when yellowing of lower leaves starts. Harvesting is done with the help of sickle and herbs are removed 2-3cm above ground. Next harvesting is done at the interval of 80 days after first harvesting. For processing fresh leaves are used.

  1. Pudhina growing first harvesting practical training.
  2. This includes Supervision, consultancy, guidance, Transportation cost first year.
  3. Plantation cost is to be borne only once.
  4. Buy back Agreement of Pudhina dry leaves and Sakars.
  5. Production starts in 1st year within 6 - 6 month. (One year plant life)
  6. Sowing time for Pudhina “April – May”.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF COMPANY

  1. For 1 Acre plantation cost of Sakars is Rs.2,500/- , which is pay in advance before the cultivation.
  2. The Buy Back Agreement Stamp paper of Rs.100/- has to be stamped by District Court of your area.
  3. For 10 Acre or more yield the buy Back Agreement Stamp Paper will be of Rs.500/-.
